What documents are required for an accountant to start managing my company’s books?
To begin accounting, the accountant requests the company’s incorporation documents, lease agreement or office ownership certificate, current bank account information, current contracts with employees and contractors, and source documents for the reporting period. If accounting has been done previously, an export from the program and previous reports will be required. A complete set of documents allows for accurate accounting from day one.
